Veterinary Professionals

  • There are no formal experts, organizations or consolidated resource libraries to support veterinary professionals in the care for senior patients. There are many guidelines and resources available, but these are often divided among different fields of practice.
    • Part of the resource library will be links to current guidelines already published.
  • General practitioners must know all aspects of a pet’s health and care and are, in fact, some of the best gerontologists available.
  • Senior and geriatric pets require more care than any other life stage group; making a practice more accessible and advocates for seniors can assure the pet parent that their dog or cat is getting the best care possible, with the least amount of anxiety and stress involved.
